What is a Hub?

A Hub is a facility that provides a suite of services to support businesses, remote workers and local communities. Hubs are more than just a space, they are hives of community, connection and collaboration.

Almost all the hubs in the Network are independent businesses which provide different mixes of service offerings. Some hubs are privately owned, but the majority are owned and run by local authorities, social enterprises or community groups.

Connected Hubs does not own or operate any hubs. We are a free service provided by the Government of Ireland, and funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development as part of 'Our Rural Future'.

Personalise Your Hub Experience

Click the profile that most closely matches your business to access our recommendations for how hubs can help you

Virtual Address Service: using your home address as your business address can not only look unprofessional, but may also reveal your personal details to customers and suppliers. Many hubs offer a Virtual Address Service which allows you to register the hub’s address as your business address. Find hubs offering this service here .

Use Connected Hubs Meeting Rooms: Meet clients, suppliers and partners in a professional environment designed for business. Offices can often be rented by the hour, half- or full-day and most will offer catering services like tea, coffee & biscuits. Find hubs offering this service here using the ‘Meeting Rooms’ filter box.

Join Hub Events: Get in touch with your local hub and let them know that you are in their community and are interested in attending business events and networking. Or check out the Events page on ConnectedHubs.ie. Many of our hubs run online events, open to all businesses, where you can meet and network with businesses nationwide.

Book On-Demand CoWorking: If you don’t need a permanent workspace, but do want to make new connections, tap into new networks and get business support, then on-demand coworking could be the answer. It’s easy to pay-as-you-go using the ConnectedHubs.ie website or app. And many hubs offer flexible coworking packages with discounted rates the more days you book. Joining your local coworking space for just a few days a month will help you stay energised and feel more supported.

We recommend:

CoCreation Days: While hybrid and home working is here to stay, sometimes we just want our teams to have a chance to work together in person. It might be to help speed along a project, or to help teams feel more connected. CoCreation Days are about getting your people together in a convenient and professional location so they can share the office atmosphere again. Our hubs can organise catering or advise you on the best places to eat. Check out our CoCreation venues.

Corporate/ Team Away Days: A step up from CoCreation Days, Team Away Days are a little more formal and involve content led by managers, often with a team building activity included.

Have fun with our hub locations – want to bring your team to the city? Our urban hubs in Dublin, Galway, Limerick and Cork could be just right for you? Or maybe you want to the peace and quiet of a rural venue. We have hubs deep in the Wicklow Mountains or all along the Wild Atlantic Way. Choose from Tech & Innovation hubs, or social enterprises where your booking will support a local community. Away Day activities range from guided hiking, surf lessons, brewery tours, food experiences and much more.

Bring a small team, or your whole company.

Check out our Corporate Away Day venues.

Join Hub Start-up programmes: A number of hubs in the Connected Hubs network offer start-up programmes and events that you can join online and/ or in person. Some of these are one-off events, others are longer programmes. They are a great way to meet others on the start-up journey, and to get mentoring and support.

Rent a space dedicated to you while enjoying all the benefits of a hub such as: flexibility of contract and room to grow; ready-made business community for networking, mentoring and support; access to communal areas such as kitchens and social spaces; use of shared meeting rooms, and much more.

Gain flexibility with CoWorking: Coworking allows your company to offer a flexible working model for employees. Whether you have a hybrid team and need a local office solution, or are looking to scale and expand your employee base without taking on significant overheads, coworking is a great place to start. Most hubs offer flexible coworking packages to suit every budget, including multi-day discounts.

Choose from coworking models
