The Western Development Commission is working with a number of hubs along the west coast to deliver three social enterprise-focused events from November 2022 - January 2023.

The series of events is intended to raise awareness about social enterprise, shining a light on the positive work being done by these innovators on the west of Ireland. We will look behind the scenes at what it takes to become a social entrepreneur, speak with those who have solved various social problems, as well as championing some phenomenal social enterprise leaders.

On Tuesday, January 24th, The Base Enterprise Centre in Stranorlar, Co. Donegal will be the location for the final ARISE Social Enterprise event.

Event Start at 10:00 until 11:30

Training session (limited places) 11:30 - 13:00

The panel discussion will be chaired by renowned social enterprise mentor and community leader Declan Droney as we anticipate an engaging conversation.

Established social entrepreneurs will speak on the day in Donegal: Gillian Graham (Manager at Lifford Old Courthouse), Helen Nolan (Co-Founder and CEO of Spraoi Agus Sport) and Mary Doherty (Craoibhin Community Enterprise Centre) will take to the stage in The Base. 

Following to the main event, from 11:30 to 13:00, a training session led by Declan Droney will take place to help budding social entrepreneurs. This training session is ideal for those who want to learn more about the Lean Canvas and find out all about best practices from a social enterprise perspective.
