Speaker Lineup:
Dr Carmel Heaney (RGN, FESC, NFESC, PhD) has been working in the health research field since 2004. She has significant experience in research design and project management in both clinical and med-tech domains. An awardee of a Health Services Research Training Fellowship (Health Research Board), Carmel completed her PhD in Public Health Medicine & Epidemiology in 2012. Her research experience spans both the hospital and community settings, representing collaborations between academic and industry research groups.
She has experience in fund procurement, study design, project management and scientific writing. She has significant experience in research and funding applications in this space and has published a number of papers on associated topics in high-level international peer-reviewed journals. Carmel has a particular interest in population health chronic illness management and connected health in this context and welcomes opportunities to collaborate and engage with community and industry stakeholders interested in project work and or research.
Carmel will speak on Engaging with & optimising early academic partnerships.
