Come join us here at Tom Crean Business Centre Online for our Tech Tuesday Sessions. On June 29th from 1-2pm, our Monthly Tech Tuesday kicks-off with an introduction to our two new clusters at TCBC: Circular Bioeconomy Cluster South-West and the AgriTech Cluster.
Hear from our New Frontiers Programme Manager, Emily Reen and meet our Cluster Managers: Catriona Power & Kieran O'Donoghue.
Circular Bioeconomy Cluster - Catriona Power, Education & Outreach Manager
The Circular Bioeconomy is an initiative of MTU, with a South-West Regional Focus. Key areas of focus are on the production of renewable biological resources – such as crops, forests, fish, animals, and micro-organisms and the conversion of these resources and waste stream residues, by-products or municipal solid waste into value added products, such as food, feed, bio-based products and bioenergy.
This cluster helps to unlock business opportunities and new value chains across sectors. An active cluster with industry, SMEs, educational institutes, government and finance stakeholders working together towards similar goals through targeted programs will speed up the innovation cycle, foster talent and support enterprise growth.
AgriTech Cluster - Kieran O'Donoghue, Education & Outreach Manager
The AgriTech industry cluster is an initiative of MTU with a Nationwide focus, funded through Enterprise Irelands Regional Technological Clustering Fund (RTCF) and supported by the Government of Ireland. Part of a growing network of industry led clusters in Ireland.
Their mission is to enhance the ability of Ireland’s AgriTech industry to grow and internationalise through, Collaboration, Skills, R&D and Growth.
