Join us for the October event scheduled for Thursday, 31st October 2024, at 12:00 PM, featuring Dr. Richard Manton, Director of Sustainability at the University of Galway.
Esteemed members of our local business community, you are warmly invited to participate in this exclusive online session. Dr. Manton will provide a deep dive into the critical topic of how small and medium enterprises can contribute to sustainable development, sharing his extensive knowledge, experience and advocacy in pursuit of the sustainable development goals at a national level.
Dr Manton is the Director of Sustainability at the University of Galway. He was previously the Registrar at Engineers Ireland and a Non-Executive Director at Bus Éireann. He was also a lecturer and researcher in transportation, energy and environment at the University of Galway, and a visiting researcher at UC Berkeley and LMU Munich. Richard is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow with a BE in civil engineering, MA in financial management, PhD in sustainable transportation and a professional diploma in digital transformation management. He is an advocate for sustainability and higher education, serving as a member of the Royal Irish Academy Engineering & Computer Sciences Committee, CIÉ Sustainability Advisory Group and the Engineers Ireland West Region Committee.
