As a world renowned artist, she brings a wealth of experience, stories and captivates audiences of all ages. Her work is at the nexus of Art and Science, and this seminar will not disappoint. What to expect:
In this seminar Aoife offers a window into her award winning multi-disciplinary practice. She presents a selection of projects which exemplify her exciting journey through arts and science on Earth and in outer space. Aoife has worked with the European Space Agency to create huge explosive performances, her art has flown on the International Space Station and she has even worked with Star Wars!
Aoife van Linden Tol
Aoife van Linden Tol FRSA is an award winning multi-disciplinary artist working at the nexus of art, science and technology. Specialising in explosives she has fused her interests in nature, and outer space. She creates abstract works which often examine concepts of time, density and matter as well as deep human emotions and motivations. Aoife has a Master of Science in Space Studies from the International Space University and a Bachelor in Art and Design from Central St Martin's. Aoife was Artist in residence at the European Space Agency in 2016/17. Her artwork Copper Cosmos flew aboard the International Space Station in 2023.
