Hillary Cronin has recently joined MTU from Industry. Her role in MTU is new and it is ‘Horizon Europe and Strategic Research Funding Coordinator ‘. Hillary has a technical background and many years industrial experience at the research innovation interface. She has worked across many sectors (Electronics, Medical Devices, Agricultural, Food) providing her with insight and ability to understand projects in a variety of domains. A combination of technical knowledge and commercial experience allows her to address challenges which need an understanding from both perspectives.
Hillary’s career has always involved successfully accessing funding from a variety of National and European Funding sources.
Hillary has had the opportunity to work as an expert evaluator in the European work programme for a number of years and as such has insight into how the evaluation process works.
Hillary has worked on both large consortium projects and single entity applications from concept through to successful funding award and ultimate delivery of the projects.
Hillary has been involved in numerous successful applications across a broad spectrum of funding programmes and understands that each project’s success is based on the merits of the project and the team championing it.
Hillary has experience in working with submissions to organisations such as:
• Horizon 2020 / Horizon Europe Consortium Proposals
• Horizon 2020/ / Horizon Europe European Innovation Council
• Horizon 2020/ / Horizon Europe MSCA Fellowships
