About AIC

The Arbutus Innovation Centre (AIC) is a purpose built incubator and innovation hub that enables individuals and start-ups to access quality offices, research facilities, scientific services and business supports. It also supports established companies to accelerate their business plans and market strategies.

The centre supports research, technology/IP development, product registration, manufacturing and distribution. Arbutus provides a unique opportunity for indigenous companies to fast track entry into Irish, European and global markets.

The AIC operates a 10,000 sqft. state-of-the-art pharmaceutical facility in Athlone, Co. Roscommon.

Arbutus accelerating greentech projects focused on food, biopharma and agritech. It is important to the AIC that all projects have a benefit to public health, the community or the environment and a clear focus on health innovation, carbon reduction, carbon sequestration, biodiversity, local food production or carbon offset. 
AIC offers layered support so its clients can focus on achieving their business goals, launch their enterprises and experience expedited success.

AIC Incubator Program 

We are currently looking for startups with innovative and scalable solutions, services and products.  

We require that you are at least a team of two, are willing to focus 100% on your venture and have an initial proof-of-concept. We also welcome foreign companies who need support in launching in Europe to get in touch.
